can we redo phase-I, II if we used these before

hello cool

let me know if i am spamming...rolleyes

is it possible to redo phase I after i have used it before
to make changes to my source on the c:
e.g. i would like to use a windows swap file but before
i have not selected this in the options in usboot. just in
case i will create a ghost image of my source disk so i
can rollback/undo a mistake.

i did searched on the forum for this question

i would need a new response code too? but i just go for
it anyway and see what happens...twisted

I do not fully get the point of your statement.

Could you please provide a more detailed description of your issue?

hello Gerd,

i choose not to have a swapfile the first time...
i still have the same source files ready on my c:
can i use usboot phase 1,2 and 3 again and make different changes like
selecting a swapfile
or do i need to reinstall windows from scratch and get a new response code

It depends on the particular option you are up to change.

> selecting a swapfile

In this very case (activation / deactivation of the swapfile support on USB) you may rerun phase II and exclaimSKIPexclaim all steps except for "Installation of the USBoot DriveGuard".

Don't forget to accomplish an immediate reboot if requested by the installer!

hi, eek
i run phase II and notice by start/run/msconfig under services tab, that i only have the 'usboot 2.11 serviceguard' running while i also expected the 'usboot 2.11 driveguard' there for a swapfile to work? anything i have done wrong? or is there no 'usboot 2.11 driveguard' needed rolleyes

the strange thing is that before i got an 'error' message from usboot windows
about the swapfile i selected e.g. fixed 3070MB
but now i rerun phase II i do not get the error message can't remember what the message was and i do not see the 'pagefile.sys' file on the c: drive. i did set the windows explorer /tools/folder options/view/ to 'show hidden files and folders' & unchecked 'hide protected operating system files'...weird but i guess that is part of the Bill's software Gates of hell then confused
