Make your mobile phone boot a pc [usb|data storage]

user offline
hello biggrin

just got so exited about usboot that i started mess around with my nokia 6700
that has a 1GB storage can handle max 8gb and i first tried the not so legal
hiren's boot cd with grub installer. it works very nice i must say. so i created my
own bootable nokia with legal programs build upon grub. it comes with a mini
windows xp 39MB in size that i can boot from.

is there anyone who knows how they did this? it does not look like a PE version
to me since there is a normal 'windows explorer' build in that can manage hdd.
i also supports sata drives and almost any network card.

i looked by google for this 'live xp' but most come with bsexplorer and build with
bartpe, to much stuff injected and too slow. For IT it is important that it is fast,
and it should have the basic programs to have a pc fixed.

the hiren's version of this mini live xp is just what i need, and i can extract the
39 MB 'XP.CA_' file with winrar and inside is an 'XP.IMG' file...winimage can open
this 'XP.IMG' but i can not inject anything i would need to make it show on boot.

I have successfully booted an 8GB microSDHC card through a caed reader with USBoot XP!

I dont have a good phone to test with yet though.

"Live XP" can be found at boot-land.net and it is legit not illegal. very good too
