Pagefile in USB Hardisk (Work with XP, Vista & Windows 7 !!!!, tested)

user offline
I came to this web finding a way for use pagefile on my OS.
I have installed on an Acer Aspire One AOA110 (XP, Windows7 & Leopard 10.5.6) on a 320 GB USB Hard disk (built inside with usb2sata card), some day I build a tutorial for this. (I not answer any question for this topic here).
OK. The Usboot phase-0 that u find in this web allow use pagefile, but work in XP only and show a ugly page when windows XP start.
The solution is here:

Decompress in a folder and copy disk.inf from ur OS (XP, Vista or 7) folder inf to the folder with diskmod.inf. After go to the Device Administrator and right click over ur Storage device (ur HD USB), and install driver manually from the folder (on XP select diskmod.inf, on Vista/7 only select the folder), select "disk with pagefile", reboot and enjoy. Work very fine, and without ugly start page and the best: WORK IN VISTA AND WINDOWS 7 !!!!!!!!!! biggrin cool mrgreen

I not answer questions about Windows 7 installation, install of Windows 7 on USB Hard drive is a very hard and advanced work (more hard that install Vista). But if u have successful in the install, u have the pagefile problem, and it’s a big problem because Win7 use much more RAM that XP. But here is the solution. Enjoy and Goodbye.
