Mouse pointer disappears

user offline
Hi everybody!

First I really want to thank you for the great work done with this automation.

I've successfully installed USBoot on my Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M1451G working with WinXP Sp3. Everything's fine on my external HDD, but i have a problem on my fixed HDD system and this happende after installing USBoot.

When I plug-in an USB Stick/Mass storage device for the second time(even if not sequentially) the mouse pointer diappears. The mouse still works, i can use it, but no pointer is shown on the workspace.

To temporally solve this I've checked the "show mouse track" box to view the track pointer and "show position when pressed CTRL key" box, under "pointer settings" in CONTROL PANNEL->MOUSE.

(I'm working with the original touch-pad) Is there anything else to do to prevent this situation?!

Thanks in advace!

So if I got you right it is just the mouse pointer disappearing while the normal output on the screen (like the mouse track) will work as usual (window content is drawn etc.)?

You could try to prepare another installation selecting different options when executing certain steps of USBoot's phases.

I consider to write some lines about the use of the different options in the next days.

Just another "detail" i noticed today...

Last night i checked the active processes in the Task Manager. i found a system file installed with USBoot called "ubsvcgd.sys" and terminated it.

It didn't solve my problem but I usually use to Hibernate the system and this morning after switching on the notebook the pointer was there...

N.B: My OS has never been reinstalled since I bought my PC(~5years), so I think maybe the changes made by USBoot aren't the real problem... :)
